GameGlass is 1 years old!

12 months ago we launched GameGlass.

It's been an incredible journey, and we're only just getting started.

In celebration we've assembled the whole team to provide this special birthday video which is part development update, part roadmap for where GG is heading, part super-secret announcement of something huge we've been preparing behind the scenes over the last few months ----- Check it out!

Star Citizen - New Shard Designs

All our Star Citizen Shards are being re-designed with a fresh new look that better fits with the game, while providing more functional clarity.

Here's a preview of the new and improved Flight Shard!

As you can see both the Shard itself and the navigation menu have been re-imagined to best suit the screen real-estate available on touchscreens both large and small.

A few words about Custom Keybinds...

We've been saying "soon" for far too long, it's time for a clear update on this highly anticipated feature.

The good news:
We've built it and it's fully functional with QWERTY keyboard layouts.

The bad news:
Full QWERTZ and AZERTY compatibility could not be achieved on the current version of our Host software. We tried and tried and tried again to work around the limitations in Host 2.0, but alas, it was not to be.

The good news:

We're already working on Host 3.0 which will bring a laundry list of MASSIVE improvements to device connectivity and as a side benefit, the code this new Host is built on has superior keybind detection well suited for international keyboard layouts.

The bad news:

This means custom keybinds will have to sit on the proverbial shelf to be released when the entire Host 3.0 project is completed.

The good news:
It'll be equally awesome for all our qwerty, qwertz, and azerty friends.

Where are we going from here?

It's true, we suck at getting release dates right. It's time for a new approach.

Rather than continue to guess when a feature will be completed based on pure optimism, we're instead going to maintain a public roadmap on Trello. Now you can see exactly what's in the pipeline and let us know what excites you the most! When a feature is 100% completed we will announce a then unmissable release date and there you have it.

We're on a magical journey with you.

GameGlass has evolved throughout this first year in so many ways. We have a huge vision for what we want to achieve, and we're so grateful you're along for the ride. We can't wait to create even more incredible gaming experiences in year 2.

Cheers,

The GameGlass team.
